Tucker Carlson to Steve King: "Everything You Said I Think Is Defensible And Probably Right"

Rep. Steve King of Iowa joins FNC's Tucker Carlson to discuss his much talked-about comments regarding Western civilization and "other peoples' babies."

"This is a message over to Europe, over to the Netherlands and Geert Wilders, who does understand this: The birth rates in especially Western Europe... all of Western civilization, have gone down below the replacement rate --with the exception of Israel, they are the only first world country that has a birth rate higher thasn their death rate," Kind explained.

"So we have to do something to increase our birth rates, or we will be replaced by people who do not share our values," he concluded. "We're seeing it happen in the Netherlands and all across Europe, and that is a lot of what the election is about coming up in the Netherlands in a few days."

The host replied: "Everything you said is, I think defensible, and probably right. The problem with the [other peoples' babies] tweet was it suggested a racial component of American identity."

GOP Rep. Steve King: 'Hispanics and the blacks will be fighting each other' before whites become minority in America

Congressman Steve King isn't backing down from controversial comments he made over the weekend about U.S. culture and doubled down on Tuesday with remarks about American minority groups.
The Republican from Iowa followed up his recent eyebrow raising tweet by saying he predicts "that Hispanics and the blacks will be fighting each other" before whites become the minority America.
Rep. Steve King through the years
King made the comments on a local radio show. He was discussing Univision anchor Jorge Ramos' recent interview on FOX News. Ramos said that minorities will be the majority by 2044 during his appearance on Tucker Carlson's show.
The timing's not great for King. Just this weekend, he tweeted his support for Dutch Anti-muslim politician Geert Wilders saying "We can't restore our civilization with somebody else's babies."
